Who we are

Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages over 36,000km of distribution networks, more than 4,300km of transmission pipelines and 60 petajoules of storage capacity. We employ over 500 team members and manage a contractor workforce of approximately 1600, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG’s gas distribution networks.

Our business is actively participating in the energy transition by delivering the natural gas needed today and advancing solutions for the future.  Our Net Zero goal and emissions reduction targets outline our ongoing commitment to a sustainable energy future. We know that to deliver our net zero goal in a timely, affordable and reliable way for all customers, a diverse range of energy supply is needed. We will continue to work with customers and stakeholders to deliver and develop the energy infrastructure solutions essential to lowering emissions – including through natural gas, renewable gas and carbon capture and sequestration solutions.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an Application Support Analyst to join our team and play a key role in supporting and enhancing our Gas Billing and related systems. • Contribute to the development and application of lifecycle management frameworks that align with our policies and IT strategy.
  • Partner with internal teams and vendors to ensure quality, cost-effective services, and advocate for continuous improvement.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in an IT-related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in application support, maintenance, analysis, and design improvements (experience in the utilities sector is an advantage, but not essential).
  • Strong skills in Excel and SQL.
  • Familiarity with application lifecycle frameworks and IT operations tools.
  • Understanding of software lifecycle concepts, system integration, and ITIL best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • A collaborative and consultative approach to working with stakeholders.
  • Experience managing deliverables and understanding dependencies, risks, and service delivery governance.
  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
