Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages over 40,000km of distribution networks, more than 4,300km of transmission pipelines and 60 petajoules of storage capacity. We employ over 500 team members and manage a contractor workforce of approximately 1600, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG's gas distribution networks.

About the Opportunity
This is a 6-month fixed term opportunity ideal for an experienced Solution Architect who is passionate about shaping technology solutions that support business transformation. You’ll play a critical role in designing scalable, secure, and robust architectures that align with AGIG’s Enterprise Architecture and strategic digital initiatives.
Working across multiple projects, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure all solutions meet business needs, security standards, and sustainability objectives. This is a chance to make a real impact in a dynamic, values-led organisation driving towards net zero.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business goals and requirements into clear, end-to-end Solution Architectures
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for delivery teams across multiple digital initiatives
- Ensure all architectures align with Enterprise Architecture and Security Standards
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for successful project delivery
- Support the ongoing development of AGIG’s architecture practice and governance
- Contribute to AGIG’s commitment to environmental and social sustainability
- Promote best practices in system integration across hybrid technology landscapes
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Solution Architecture roles
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field
- Broad technical knowledge across Applications, Infrastructure, Cloud, Data, and Security
- Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable and robust solutions in complex environments
- Experience integrating solutions across hybrid systems
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal capabilities
- Experience in the utilities sector is advantageous but not essential
