About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Injury Management Specialist to join our People, Safety and Culture team on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE) and play an important role in supporting our people through injury, recovery and return to work.
Reporting to the Head of Employee Experience, you will work closely with employees and leaders to provide thoughtful, practical and proactive support throughout the injury management journey. You will collaborate with insurers, treating practitioners and rehabilitation providers to coordinate recovery and return-to-work plans that balance individual needs with safe and sustainable outcomes.

The role offers flexibility in location and can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employees throughout their injury and recovery journey, managing workplace injuries, workers compensation claims and non-work-related health conditions.
- Coordinate end-to-end injury management cases, providing early intervention and tailored support based on individual circumstances.
- Develop and monitor personalised return-to-work plans in partnership with employees, leaders, Return to Work Coordinators and relevant health professionals.
- Build trusted relationships with employees and leaders, providing clear, compassionate and practical guidance throughout the recovery process.
- Collaborate with insurers, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers and other partners to support positive and sustainable recovery outcomes.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure injury management practices align with workers compensation legislation, return-to-work requirements and internal policies.
- Consistently review and improve injury management processes including regularly updating policies, procedures and training to ensure effective and current
- Use claims insights and emerging trends to contribute to continuous improvement, prevention initiatives and a positive employee wellbeing experience.
About You
- Experience in injury management, workers compensation, return-to-work coordination or a closely related area.
- Experience supporting a range of injury and illness cases, including more complex matters.
- Sound knowledge of workers compensation legislation, return-to-work frameworks and contemporary injury management practices.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships with employees, leaders and external partners.
- Strong organisational skills and confidence balancing multiple cases and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Warm, clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and care.
- A Certificate IV in WHS, allied health or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
