Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages distribution networks, transmission pipelines and storage capacity. AGIG recently grew to over 1300 employees. We also manage a large contractor workforce, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG’s gas distribution networks.

About the opportunity
Join our Transmission Operations team as a Senior Maintenance Systems Analytics Lead, reporting to the Head of Planning and Operational Performance. In this key role, you will take ownership of our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Maximo, leading its configuration, optimisation, and continuous improvement so it meets evolving business needs.
As the Maximo Subject Matter Expert, you will play a vital role in shaping best‑practice work management processes, ensuring the system is configured to support efficient execution, high data quality, and strong operational performance.
Internal position title: Senior Maintenance Systems Analytics Lead
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and utilisation of Maximo functionality to deliver on business and operational requirements.
- Manage system changes, enhancements, ensuring robust governance and minimal operational impact.
- Translate work management and business processes into effective Maximo configurations, workflows, and data structures.
- Provide functional support for CMMS users, including complex troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve system efficiency, data quality, and operational resilience.
- Develop and produce reporting and analytics that support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Deliver Maximo training and develop training materials and documentation that lift user capability and adoption.
About you
- Previous experience and proven expertise in Maximo functionality, including configuring, administering, and evolving Maximo to match business needs.
- Demonstrated experience as a Maximo or CMMS functional SME (e.g. system specialist, administrator, analyst, or consultant).
- Qualification in Data Science, SQL, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated technical understanding of Maintenance Management Systems and maintenance work management processes.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business and operational needs into clear system requirements and designs.
- Strong Power BI reporting Development skills
