Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages distribution networks, transmission pipelines and storage capacity. AGIG recently grew to over 1300 employees. We also manage a large contractor workforce, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG’s gas distribution networks.

About the opportunity
AGIG is seeking experienced Mechanical Field Maintenance Officers to support the safe and reliable operation of our gas infrastructure. This critical role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment, laterals, and customer interface sites, ensuring all planned and corrective maintenance activities are completed on time.
You will also respond to incidents and emergencies as required, playing a key role in maintaining asset integrity and operational excellence across our network. This position works a family friendly roster 11 days on/9 days off, FIFO from Perth.
About you
We’re looking for team-oriented professionals with a strong commitment to safety and operational discipline, who thrive in a field-based environment.
- Mechanical trade qualification
- Relevant post-trade experience
- Current and valid driver’s licence (HR or HC highly regarded)
- Understanding of hazardous areas and classifications
- Experience maintaining reciprocating gas and diesel engines, alternators and gas turbines
- Knowledge of pressure control, regulator and valve operation and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret technical and manufacturer documentation (P&IDs, MDRs, O&M manuals)
- Knowledge of pipeline operation and maintenance
