Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages distribution networks, transmission pipelines and storage capacity. AGIG recently grew to over 1300 employees. We also manage a large contractor workforce, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG’s gas distribution networks.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to join our Treasury team and play a key role in supporting the financial sustainability and growth of our organisation. Reporting to the Head of Treasury Funding and Investor Relations in Treasury, you will contribute to the development and execution of funding, liquidity, hedging and treasury risk management strategies that support our long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute treasury funding, liquidity, cash management, interest rate and foreign exchange hedging strategies; manage daily cash flow forecasting, debt drawdowns and repayments, and ensure compliance with Treasury Policy and regulatory requirements.
- Support and lead wholesale funding and capital market activities, including establishing new debt programmes, executing bank and capital market transactions, negotiating commercial outcomes, preparing information memorandums and investor presentations, and managing relationships with financiers and investors.
- Lead the Group’s credit rating process by coordinating annual rating reviews, acting as the primary contact for rating agencies, preparing responses to enquiries, and maintaining strong relationships with analysts to enhance the Group’s reputation and credit profile.
- Provide treasury analysis, reporting and governance support, including Board and management reporting, shareholder reporting, regulatory cost-of-debt analysis, statutory disclosure support, risk identification and escalation, and monitoring treasury performance against approved policies and benchmarks.
- Partner with business units and key stakeholders to support Treasury-related requirements, including project funding, liquidity planning, bank guarantees, regulatory reviews, risk management initiatives and strategic business projects.
- Lead, mentor and support treasury team members, champion continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen treasury processes and controls, and provide support to the Head of Treasury Funding and Investor Relations as required.
About You
- Proven experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, Funding or Capital Markets, with strong knowledge of treasury risk management, liquidity management, financial markets, treasury operations, controls and relevant accounting practices.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading debt funding transactions, hedging activities, credit rating processes, investor engagement and relationships with banks, financiers and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business needs, develop practical solutions and translate complex financial information into meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, influence stakeholders and communicate technical treasury concepts with clarity and confidence.
- A collaborative leadership style with experience supporting, coaching and developing team members while fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performing team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline. Experience with Treasury Management Systems and analytical tools such as Power BI or Copilot is desirable. CPA, CA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification and utilities industry experience will be highly regarded.
