Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages distribution networks, transmission pipelines and storage capacity. AGIG recently grew to over 1200 employees. We also manage a large contractor workforce, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG’s gas distribution networks.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and thoughtful Regulatory Advisor to join our Corporate and Regulation team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Regulatory Strategy Manager, this role plays an important part in shaping regulatory outcomes across AGIG’s regulated assets. You will contribute to Access Arrangement processes, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement and policy development, helping ensure decisions are grounded in strong analysis and a clear understanding of customer and community needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of regulatory strategies, including Access Arrangement review processes, regulatory submissions and policy responses across AGIG’s regulated assets.
- Undertake regulatory, financial and economic analysis, including modelling, forecasting, benchmarking and scenario testing to support informed and balanced decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation and ongoing administration of Access Arrangement proposals, with a particular focus on economic modelling, capital expenditure forecasting and demand forecasting.
- Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, customers and industry partners, and contribute to meaningful engagement activities.
- Provide clear insights and thoughtful analysis to support business strategy, performance improvement and the development of regulatory incentive frameworks.
- Contribute to AGIG’s sustainability journey by supporting initiatives that advance our transition to a lower-carbon future.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics, Law, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience working within a regulated utility, regulatory authority, infrastructure business or similar environment.
- Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks and policy issues within the energy sector.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, practical insights.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and respectful approach to working with diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with strong organisation skills, sound judgement and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
