Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages distribution networks, transmission pipelines and storage capacity. AGIG recently grew to over 1300 employees. About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Corporate Reporting Accountant to play an important role within a high-performing and supportive finance team. Reporting to the Corporate Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, managing month-end processes, and maintaining strong financial controls that support effective decision-making.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Tax, Treasury, and other business units, building positive relationships and providing responsive, solutions-focused support. The role offers a mix of technical accounting, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement, making it well suited to someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is looking to continue growing their career.
This role can be based in Adelaide or Melbourne, with flexibility in location across these offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual and half-year financial statements.
- Deliver shareholder reporting (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual.).
- Deliver financial schedules for monthly management reports.
- Prepare monthly cash flow statements and other ad hoc reports.
- Accounting for corporate-related items.
- Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
- Support finance team queries, including Tax and Treasury, and partner with wider business units.
- Manage month-end processes, including general ledger oversight.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support cost control initiatives and financial governance.
- Assist in managing external and internal audit processes.
- Contribute to the interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Support preparation of Audit Committee and Board papers.
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings.
About You
- At least 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline

CA or CPA accreditation
- Proven experience in statutory and other financial reporting
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and adaptable approach
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with SAP
- Knowledge of the energy industry (desirable)
