AGIG manages distribution networks, transmission pipelines and storage capacity. About the Opportunity

AGIG is seeking a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Advisor to join our IT team and lead the enhancement of our Configuration Management Database. Reporting to the Service Management Lead, you will ensure technology assets and configuration items are accurately recorded, governed and maintained.

 

In this role, you will oversee the full Configuration Management lifecycle, ensuring trusted, accessible data that supports reliable, safe and customer‑centric services. You will also strengthen AGIG’s risk management, auditability, data quality and ITSM maturity while continually improving processes, tools and stakeholder experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and govern ITIL‑aligned Configuration Management processes to ensure accurate and consistent CMDB data.
  • Establish and maintain standards, controls and procedures to uphold CMDB integrity, auditability and compliance.
  • Monitor and report on CMDB performance, data quality and risks, providing insights to support decision‑making.
  • Ensure reliable configuration data is available to enable effective incident, problem, change and transition processes.
  • Provide stakeholders and service partners with CMDB reporting and insights that enhance operational and customer outcomes.
  • Balance strong data governance with customer‑centric, agile and responsive configuration processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand configuration requirements and deliver improvements that add service value.
  • Drive continuous improvement across CMDB processes, tools and reporting to support ITSM maturity.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience managing CMDB or IT Asset and Configuration Management processes within complex, mission‑critical technology environments.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business or technology discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong capability in analysing, validating and reporting configuration data, with a proven ability to support executive decision‑making and drive service improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience leading data governance and quality assurance activities aligned to ITIL best practices, ensuring accuracy, compliance and operational stability.
  • Experience providing guidance, leadership and quality assurance across CMDB governance forums, including effective engagement with vendors and service providers.
  • ITIL V4 Foundation (or higher) Service Management certification.
