Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages over 36,000km of distribution networks, more than 4,300km of transmission pipelines and 60 petajoules of storage capacity. We employ over 500 team members and manage a contractor workforce of approximately 1600, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG’s gas distribution networks.

About the Opportunity
Client reporting and acting as a critical link between Finance, Technology, and key internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, this role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant reporting while supporting major transformation initiatives, including business integrations, IT transitions, and process improvements.
This position plays a key role in aligning financial outcomes with technology-enabled solutions and supporting strategic initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and delivery of reporting for external clients.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and governance requirements.
- Act as a primary liaison between Finance, Technology, and external stakeholders.
- Support the integration of new businesses into existing finance structures, including modelling, due diligence, and process redesign.
- Contribute to the integration of new businesses, including redesigning financial operations to maximise efficiency and effective use of resources.
- Manage separation and Transition Service Agreement (TSA) cost processes.
- Monitor budgets, track performance, and ensure adherence to signed agreements.
- Represent Finance in IT transition and transformation projects.
- Ensure financial systems, data flows, controls, and processes align with business, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
- Partner closely with Technology teams to deliver sustainable, fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Provide financial insight and support for enterprise-wide initiatives, including large-scale infrastructure and hydrogen-related projects.
- Prepare clear, executive-level insights and recommendations for the Group Head of Finance and senior leadership team.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance and reporting processes.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in a corporate or business finance environment, preferably within the energy or utilities sector.
- Experience in regulated utilities is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of finance systems, data, and end-to-end processes within large, integrated organisations.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to influence at senior and executive levels.
- Proven experience working at the intersection of Finance and Technology, including system transitions or implementations.
